Hola! Leonor here. I wanted to introduce myself and explain why I started El Rancho and what kind of products we'll have to share with you. So first of all, thank you for being here. Starting a new venture is always a bit scary and we're hopeful and excited you'll stick around for all of the new products and enjoy the ones we already have.
I was born in the mountains of rural Oaxaca in a town called Juxtlahuaca. My parents are indigenous Mixtecos and speak Spanish as their second language. When I was young my mother moved to Baja California looking for work in the fields, and I went along with her. This business is meant to help support my mother in retirement and eventually give back to more people like her who have worked decades in the fields.
On that note, I wanted to start a business that would reconnect me to my roots and serve as a bridge between the two cultures here in the US and in Mexico. So I started El Rancho with my partner.

Our handwoven blankets are made by skilled artisans in Mexico and are crafted from recycled fabric, making them both durable and sustainable. Not only will you be getting a beautiful, one-of-a-kind product, but you'll also be supporting indigenous-owned businesses and the talented artisans who create these blankets.
As we grow we hope to add many more designs and products like t-shirts/beanies...etc.
For now though we're starting slow and hoping you appreciate the quality of the blankets and the time and skill that goes into making them by hand.
